The reason for our website is to try and give Bendigo pet owners a little more information about who we are and what we do. Our aim is to give Bendigo’s pet owners some understanding about how we can look after them and their pets.

The Little Red One? Yes, our clinic is the little red one on Napier Street next to the Captain Cook Hotel with the pawprints all over it. On the inside, our clinic is equipped with the latest technology to provide your pets with the highest level of care. The equipment includes a full Idexx blood machine (to provide rapid blood test results), a full dental base (like the one at your dentist), advanced anaesthetic machines and anaesthetic monitoring equipment ….. the list goes on!
WHAH is Bendigo’s only 100% small animal clinic (yes we do see Great Danes!). We understand that pets are part of the family and play a big part in our lives. We know this because that is how we view our own pets. See the staff profiles to get an idea of how nutty we are about our pets!
“for the quality care your pets deserve” has become our slogan at WHAH and we truly believe we live up to our promise by providing a professional, friendly and caring service. We want to create a friendly and welcoming environment within the clinic so pet owners feel comfortable when phoning or coming in.
A little history. The clinic has been serving Bendigo for over 35 years. Dr Murray and his wife Samantha took over the clinic in 2001 with the aim of investing in new equipment in order to provide a better level of care to Bendigo’s pets. After 10 years they have finally found another vet (Dr Jack) who shares their philosophies. Dr Jack and his wife Carla joined Dr Murray and Samantha in partnership in July 2011. Together Dr Murray and Dr Jack bring over 30 years of experience to the pets of Bendigo. They are the vets that you will see when you come into the WHAH.
We understand that it can be very difficult when you visit a vet clinic and see a different vet every time. By seeing a familiar face each time you come into the WHAH we can hopefully build a long and trusting relationship.
